Sectors

Who video actually works for

Not every business needs the same video. These are the sectors I've already worked in, and what video solves in each one.

Industry and engineering

Machines and processes that don't fit in a photo and can't be filmed. Animation shows the inside, the cross-section and how it runs.

Already done for Hedemann Technik

Product and retail

Your product turning, opening and in use — no studio, no photographer, and no waiting for physical units.

Already done for Takkure and BrickStark

Software and apps

What your product does, told in a minute — without screen recordings or asking people to sign up just to understand it.

Asked for more every year

Banking, payments, insurance

Financial products that scare people on paper and make sense in animation. Here video takes the fear away.

Already done for Yuropay

Training and publishing

Courses, manuals and content nobody reads. On video people finish them — and remember them.

Already done for FFI-Verlag and Colors English

Consulting and services

Intangible things are the hardest to sell. Video puts a picture on something you can't photograph.

Already done for LOC Consulting and IntactCar

Don't see yours? Doesn't matter: the method is the same. Tell me what you sell and I'll tell you whether video helps — and if it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.

How I work

Six steps and no surprises

You know where your video is at, all the way through. And you see it before it exists — which is when changing it is free.

01 · Briefing

We talk

You tell me what you sell, who to and why you want the video. Five minutes by email or a short video call.

02 · Concept

I write the script

Before drawing anything. If the script doesn't make sense, the video won't either. You read it and approve it.

03 · Look

You choose how it looks

I show you where the colour, the line and the characters would go, with your brand in front of me.

04 · Storyboard

You see it as frames

Shot by shot, before any animation. This is the moment to change anything: later it costs money.

05 · Animation

I bring it to life

The long part, and the one you can see. Here you don't have to do anything but wait.

06 · Sound and delivery

Voice, music, done

Voice-over, music and effects in sync. Delivered in the format you need, with commercial rights included.

And if you'd rather, I'll show you on video

It would be odd for a video studio to explain its work with a leaflet. Here's the whole process, told the way I'd tell a client.

How long should your video be? One to two minutes at most. Any longer and people leave before the end — and what matters usually fits in sixty seconds.

Pricing

Out in the open, as it should be

All included: script, storyboard, voice-over, music, subtitles, three rounds of changes and the usage rights. No hidden extras.

Animated explainer video

What you do, told in under a minute and understood first time. It's the video people ask for most, and the one that changes a website most.

What the price includes

  • Script written by me and approved by you
  • Storyboard before any animation
  • Professional voice-over and music
  • Custom characters and illustration
  • Burned-in subtitles
  • Three rounds of changes
  • Delivery in Full HD, in the format you need
  • Commercial usage rights, with no expiry

Logo animation and pieces without voice-over don't include script, voice or subtitles: they're shorter, which is why they cost less.

And the rules, up front

  • 50% to start, 50% on delivery
  • The clock starts when you approve the script, not when you pay. If you take time to reply, the deadline doesn't move
  • Three rounds of changes included. From the fourth on, €90
  • Rewriting the script once the storyboard is approved counts as a round
  • In a hurry? Half the lead time, +40%
  • Extra language, with its own voice-over and subtitles: €190
  • Vertical cut of a finished video: €90
  • Project files (After Effects) are not delivered unless agreed separately

Launch pricing, until the first five projects are booked. VAT not included. None of this is small print: it's the same thing I'd put in your quote.

Who does it

Me. And only me.

I started making video in 2008. I spent 2011 to 2022 in Germany —Berlin and Hessen— working for clients around the world. Today I'm back in León, Spain, doing the same thing.

There's no account department in between. I make the video myself, start to finish, and you deal with me from the first email to delivery.

The studio started out as Shyn Design; today the video side is called Magnet Videos. Need the website too? That I do at Shyn Design.

What you won't get

  • A salesperson who sells and then disappears
  • An intern animating your video
  • A quote that grows along the way
  • Waiting three days for someone to answer an email

Quote

Tell me five things and I'll give you the price

Tick what fits. At the end your email opens with the answers already written — nothing is sent to any server and no data is stored here. I reply within 24-48 working hours.

1 · What kind of video do you need?
2 · How long should it be?
3 · In which languages?

Each extra language comes with its own voice-over and subtitles.

4 · What budget are you working with?

So I can point you the right way, not to judge you. The prices are right above, out in the open.

Rather see a face? A 15-minute video call, no strings attached. You'll come out of it knowing whether video helps you and what it costs.

Asking for a quote commits you to nothing. The prices above include script, voice-over, music, subtitles, three rounds of changes and the usage rights. The clock starts when you approve the script. VAT not included.
